Metro Doula Group
COVID Response Team
To support healthcare providers and birthing families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the Metro Doula Group have organized to deliver PPE (personal protection equipment), personal hygiene kits and educational materials to communities in need in New York City.
resources for families.
If you can provide pro-bono translation support for this critical resource, please contact us.
We're providing a two-pronged response.
1. As part of our efforts to deliver PPE directly into the hands of healthcare providers, we are distributing masks to labor and delivery midwives, nurses and other nursing staff at HHC & Community Hospitals.
We've donated to Brookdale Hospital, Metropolitan Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, Wyckoff Hospital, North Central Bronx Hospital, and Woodhull Hospital and are organizing to expand donations to other institutions.
2. To conserve critical hospital supplies, protect healthcare workers and birthing families, we are sourcing and producing personal hygiene and PPE kits for birthing families.
Please support our efforts and join the fight to protect labor and delivery staff and birthing families in NYC during the COVID-19 Pandemic. All donations go to purchasing and distributing masks & kits to birthing professionals and families.

Thank you to all donors whose generous funds go directly to providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies to those who need it.
Thank you, also, to our corporate sponsors, who generously donated supplies for
the PPE kits! We could not accomplish our goal of providing critical PPE to healthcare providers and their patients without your support.
We extend our deepest gratitude to:
doulas in action.
Established in 1999, the Metro Doula Group brings together doulas from the greater NY-NJ-CT region with the mission of advancing the field of birth support and creating space for expecting and new families.
